Margie is a freelance illustrator &
designer who began her career as the
Illustrator at the Chicago headquarters
of Edelman Public Relations Worldwide.
While continuing her personal freelance
illustration career, she moved to Seattle
|
 |
where she entered the field of internet design--first for Microsoft (MSN) & then for Mercata.com. During her & her husband's subsequent 3-year move to Arizona, Margie began her full-time freelance illustration career & her life-long dream of illustrating for the children's market with the publication of her first picturebook, Sammy the Sparrow (written by Val Nichols). After entering the greeting card industry through the illustration of wholesale cards for the veterinarian (& trucking too!) industry, she is honored to have been chosen in 2004 as the illustrator of The Red Hat Society's first officially trademarked line of greeting cards and has moved on to develop another line of her own. Most recently, she is writing & illustrating children's book manuscripts of her own while also continuing to illustrate those of other writers.

| Now back in the Seattle, Margie has an abundance of whimsical & poignant material to work with thanks in no small part to her kindergartener & his younger sister. With the wide range of illustration & design experience she has gained in the Midwest, in the Southwest & on the West Coast, Margie brings not only fanciful-yet-polished & varied skills to the table but also creative concepts for any project at hand. |
